IP5200R Canon Pixma Photo Printer ($ 229.99 direct) is a close cousin to the Editors' Choice Canon Pixma iP4200, with many of the same features and the same power, including two paper trays, automatic duplex, and performance, especially fast. In fact, iP5200R quicker than the iP4200 (which partly justifies the higher price), and supports both wired and wireless network connections. You can also get the otherwise identical models, Pixma iP5200, without network support, less ($ 179.99 direct). The iP5200R targeted primarily at home or home office use, although it can serve as a personal printer in a larger office thanks to the support of the network.

The iP5200R just a touch bigger and heavier than iP4200, 17.5 6.3 12.2 inches (HWD) and 16.1 pounds. But the physical setup is easy. Note also that Canon claims a lifetime of 30 years for a framed photo of glass or a life of 100 years if stored in an archival-quality photo album. Obviously, if you need the highest possible output quality, iP5200R is the wrong choice. But the quality is good enough for most purposes, and the balance of speed, quality, and features that are sufficient to make iP5200R as a base.
